We guide students through preparation stage
Course outline, syllabus and course materials, table of contents in the text, take note of which chapters, the author's background and interest.
Before students begin reading a chapter in the text, read the summary, overview or comments that usually appear in the text. This gives general framework of the material contained in each chapter of the text.
1. Skim through the chapter, reading the boldface type only.
2. Read each chapter, taking note.
3. Reread the chapter summary
4. Read the supplementary material
5. Read any cases and review questions
6. Explore and answer the questions in the chapter review
7. Complete the assignments one at a time, as required in the syllabus, and submit them to faculty mentor for evaluation and comment.
We help students to cultivate and discipline study habits and routine
Set deadlines for the completion of each assignment, final goal, time to study on daily or weekly basis, establish and maintain a study routine.
  • Understand key facts and concepts,
  • Increase retention, practice,
  • Ask and answer students own questions,
  • Put into practice

  • We do not want students repeat what is in the textbook. We want them to read the material, absorb it, analyze it, and then apply it to their personal experiences, past, present or anticipated.
  • Make the subjects meaningful and demonstrate in their own answers, wherever possible, how students have applied critical thinking to what they have learned.
  • Faculty mentor will critique and grade coursework on the basis of students responses and how well they personally discuss each topic. Sometimes with the intention of improving students learning experiences, faculty mentors will return their work and request them to re-do and re-submit it to fulfill course requirements. This is an opportunity for students improve knowledge, skills, and grade.
  • In many courses a paper or project is required. The purpose of the paper/project is to have students research a significant topic of interest based on the course. Mentors tend to be open to a range of individual interests and presentations. The critical factors are that the paper/project: (a) reflects the content of the course, (b) is relevant and meaningful to students; (c) is researched and includes appropriate citation of sources used; and, (d) is presented and written in a manner that reflects level of MBA study.
  • Academic Advisors:
Each student is assigned to an academic advisor when they begin their studies. The advisor is charged with the responsibility of overseeing the student’s academic progress toward their study and to advising the student about any problems that could harm the student’s ability to progress in the program. The advisor functions in a supportive manner and can assist in any matter pertaining to personal success, career goals or completion of the program.
